Manufacturing & Supply Chain West Conference & Exhibition 2025
The conference provided a valuable platform for industry professionals to explore the evolving landscape of responsible sourcing, ethical supply-chain auditing, pharmaceutical compliance, sustainability, and supplier risk management.
Key Discussion Areas
Our session highlighted the importance of moving beyond conventional, generic ethical audits towards pharma-specific supplier assessment frameworks that address the unique risks and compliance requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Key areas discussed included:
- Chemical and process safety
- GMP-aligned governance and oversight
- Sustainability and ESG risk assessment
- Responsible sourcing practices
- Pharmaceutical supply-chain compliance
- Supplier qualification and risk management
- Risk assessment across APIs, excipients, and packaging materials
We also presented the Supplier Sustainability Program (SSP) developed by Chartered Pharma Consultants Ltd. The program demonstrates how a locally grounded, pharmaceutical-focused approach can help organisations strengthen supplier oversight, improve sustainability performance, and address emerging supply-chain risks.
EU Sustainability & Due-Diligence Requirements
The session generated significant interest among industry professionals, particularly around the evolving EU sustainability and corporate due-diligence landscape and its potential implications for pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply-chain management.
Discussions highlighted the increasing need for pharmaceutical organisations to proactively prepare their supply chains for evolving legislative, ESG, sustainability, and responsible-sourcing requirements.
A structured approach to supplier due diligence can help organisations improve transparency, identify potential risks at an early stage, and strengthen the resilience and sustainability of their supply chains.
Our Commitment
At Chartered Pharma Consultants Ltd., we remain committed to supporting pharmaceutical and manufacturing organisations in developing safe, sustainable, ethical, transparent, and compliant supply chains.
We would like to thank the organisers, speakers, and participants for the valuable discussions and insights shared during the event.
